My dear friend Ze Vaz, gave me the reigns and allowed me to curate my first art show here in Brooklyn, New York. We brought together a talented group of painters, photographers, sculptors and DJ’s for an intimate art show on Saturday, November 12th at Bogart House. Our aim was to cultivate an event that would encompass both creativity and community. It was a great success and we look forward to many more.

The event was catered by my lovely sister, Noor Principessa and her company called Noorishment. She helped bring us together at a family style long table, for a wholesome and delicious dinner with dessert.

This was my second year participating in a RAW art show. It’s an amazing way to connect with other creative disciplines, and take part in the NYC art community. This series is inspired by the Birds of my mind. Since the theme was elevation, there was no better way for me to introduce my feathered friends, than by painting them.

Photo credit goes to my dear friend and very talented photographer, Simon Ackerman. I was lucky to have him join me for the event. Thank you, Simon!
